Cookie Labels

This was a very fast project using Avery Labels and the Rich Regales color collection from Stampin' Up!  The images were from the Merry Minis and Holiday Wishes sets.  The image was stamped in one color and "Merry Christmas" was stamped in another.  The labels were adhered to Ziploc bags filled with home made cookies and a gospel tract.  The cookies are made by various churches and we all meet together to bag them.  They are to be given to the local jail for the inmates and guards.  The extras were given to the local first responders.

This is something so simple but for a brief moment will make someone smile.  For me that is what ministry is.  I encourage you to find some simple thing to share Christ's love.  I welcome comments and questions.  Merry Christmas!

Christmas Gift Card Purse

Here is a little paper purse that  I made for a friend.  It holds a gift card inside.  I was reluctant to use the green glittery paper but it was the best option from the supplies on hand.  I found the tutorial on Dawn's Stamping Thoughts.

Riding Hood Red card stock was used along with designer paper from My Mind's Eye.  The stamp set used was Many Merry Messages from Stampin' Up!  I used the Word Window punch from Stampin' Up! as well as the 1 3/8 circle punch.  I cut one of the poinsettias from the paper and used a Dimensional to adhere it to the green 1 3/8 in. circle.  A light green rhinestone was added to the middle of the poinsettia.  The circle was also raised up using a dimensional.  I used a Velcro dot to close the whole thing up.

Please let me know if you have any questions or comments about this or any other project posted on this blog.

Bookmarks ForJr. High Book Club

I'm sorry the picture is sideways.

These are some of the bookmarks I made for my kiddoes book club.  This month they read a book by C.S. Lewis.  A quote from him was added to the back of each one.  The paper is from a Stampin' Up! 6x6 mat-pack.  The colors include: Going Grey, Handsome Hunter, Summer Sun?, & Regal Rose?  (some of the colors I'm not sure about)  The water colored flowers are from the Time Well Spent set.  The Scallop punch, brads, and glitter paper are all Stampin' Up! as well.  One yellow and one pink flower were from a bag of embellishments I got at a scrapping swap.

I found the instructions at www.feeling-crafty.co.uk by Bekka Prideaux.  I welcome comments and questions.

Paper Christmas Wreath

A few weeks ago I attended a class taught by Cindy Owens.  She showed us how to make these really cute paper wreaths.  We used a 10in foam ring.  Cut 4 sheets of double sided Designer Series Paper into 1in strips.  Then we curled the ends and pinned them to the ring with straight pins.  Of course she had to tie the Whisper White satin bow, because we all know that I can't pull one off to save my life.  I think it's adorable.  I shipped mine off to my daughter-in-law in lieu of a Christmas card.  I hope she likes it.  Please leave me a comment to let me know what you think.
