Here's the Fall welcome sign for the greeting table (which I will be redoing). You'll see that I reuse the same shadow frames over an over. If you have any questions about the measurements I can update to include such information.
Most of the paper came from Stampin' Up! Most of it is already retired. I did use the Cricut to cut out the Bravo Burgundy "welcome" and the Dusty Durango (orange) things. The solid back ground is the Creamy Caramel cardstock that I have peeled in half to expose the fuzzy center. I crumpled it up and then sponged Soft Suede ink on it. All the layers were popped up from one another. The frame was placed on the table surrounded with fall colored leaves from a floral garland. It had a warm effect.
DECEMBER'S Welcome sign for the greeting table:
The patterned paper is from My Mind's Eye. The "welcome" was cut out of Old Olive cardstock with a Cricut. Then I inked the edges of the word and the mat with the same color ink. The poinsettias were hand cut from the patterned paper, glittered, and the layers were again popped up. The frame was placed on the table surrounded by a pretty plaid and gold ribbon.
JANUARY'S Welcome sign for the greeting table:
I tried to take the picture at an angle in hopes of capturing the shine of the silver in the striped paper from the Winter Frost Specialty Designer Series Paper. The solid cardstock is the Pacific Point. The snowflakes (& we all know how much I love those) are from the Festive Flurry set. They are embossed in silver and die cut using the coordinating Framelits Dies. Blue rhinestones were added and everything was popped up using Dimensionals. The word was cut from the glitter paper using the Home Accents cartridge from Cricut.
FEBRUARY'S Welcome signs for both the greeting and the hospitality (coffee) table:
All the materials used for this one are from Stampin' Up! The "Welcome" was cut with a Cricut out of Very Vanilla card stock. The John 3:16 verse was printed with a printer on Very Vanilla cardstock. Both are adhered to Cranberry Crisp Coordinations cardstock that has been sanded a bit. I think the Designer Series Paper is from the Every Day Enchantment pack. I don't have it anymore to double check. The pearls came from a retired SU kit. I colored the clear beads with a Sharpie to match the cranberry color. The vanilla seam binding is also SU. The flowers were made using layers of a scallop edge circle punch. Yes, I inked all the layers individually using Cranberry Crisp ink and a sponge.
MARCH'S Welcome sign is hideous and I will be redoing it. I will add it soon.
APRIL'S Welcome signs along with a topiary:
|
I think both of these patterned papers are from Colorbook. |
|
The butterflies were adhered with layers of foam dots to get the dimension. |
|
I used an embossing die cut from Sizzex and a Big Shot to cut the butterflies out. Then I inked the raised edges with VersaMark ink and brushed blue PearlEx powder on them. I did not think there was enough shimmer so I added Dazzling Details glitter glue. |
*Shiny*
|
I found a plain topiary at the local craft store.
I had originally intended for the whole top to be
nothing but flowers. |
|
I used to the leftover paper from the signs to punch the flowers out. I found the punch for that at the same craft store in the dollar section. SCORE! |
|
As you can see, everything is stuck in with straight pins.
So please be careful. |
MAY'S Welcome signs for the greeting table:
|
The paper yellow patterned paper is from Colorbook and the blue patterned paper is from SudioK. |
|
Same papers were used. Random buttons from here and there were added. The corners were punched with the Scallop Corner punch from Stampin' Up! A printer was used for all of the wording. |
|
They were displayed on the greeting table with a lovely ivy garland sprinkled with daisies. |
June's Welcome sign:
|
The striped pattern paper is from StudioK and the blue is Soft Sky from Stampin' Up! |
|
A printer was used for the wording. A harlequin pattern was stamped on the Soft Sky cardstock with Versamark ink. The edges were sponged with a celery colored ink. |
|
The hardware is from SU's Hodge-Podge Hardware. Sadly it is no longer available. The twine is actually candle wick. Yes, I make candles too. |
|
They were displayed on the tables along with greenery, old books, and reading glasses. |
|
Just for giggles, here's my current workspace. Yes, I'm
working on top of a file cabinet. For now... |
FATHER'S DAY Welcome signs:
|
The patterned paper is from StudioK and the blue is from SU,
but I don't remember the color at the moment. |
|
A printer was used for the wording. The ribbon is SU's Night of Navy. The embellishments are from SU's Hodg-Podge Hardware. I apologize for the glare. |
|
While trying to get the best photo of these one of my supervisors
insisted I put them up on the table. I knew there'd be a glare, but who
am I to ague with a supervisor? |
JULY'S Welcome signs:
|
Three cheers for the red, white, and blue! SU's Real Red, Whisper White, and Brilliant Blue to be exact! And let's not forget the sparkly gold punched stars. All SU! |
|
I went the opposite direction with the stars on the second one.
A printer was used for the lettering. They were displayed on the table with greenery, of course, along with an arrangement of carnations. I apologize for not getting a picture of that. |
August's Welcome Signs: will be posted soon.
September's Welcome Signs:
|
Since it's back to school time I figured that would be an appropriate theme. The script is hand-written on black cardstock with, you guessed it, chalk. It will stay but if you boo-boo it's unfixable. It took me several tries. The apple is traced from a coloring book onto red paper. I inked the edges and added a bit of the chalk to highlight the shine. The leaf and stem are free-hand cut out of scraps. I used layers of foam dots for dimension.
|
The script was printed on vanilla cardstock. The Scalloped Corner punch from SU! was used on the red cardstock and it all was mounted on the black with foam dots. That's gingham ribbon you see embellished with a button from....somewhere.
I thought the Willow Tree girls added a nice touch. They were nice on the coffee table.
These were used in the display as well. I took some encyclopedias and wrapped them with brown paper, like we used to with grocery sacks in high school....a long time ago. The apple is a plastic and the globe is a friends. One day I'll remember to take pictures while they're actually on the tables. Everything looks so nice on the navy blue tablecloths.
MORE COMING SOON!
Please leave me a comment and tell me what you think of it!
